Look For Quality

Looking for furniture that is well built with solid wood, and that will last, is a priority for me. This is because it gives you more room to repair any cosmetic damage. If you are purchasing furniture with a laminate finish, it's much more difficult to sand out dents and scratches. You run the risk of sanding through the laminate into whatever wood is underneath, which is often much cheaper wood.

I also look for furniture with a sound structure with drawers and doors that open easily. Although simple repairs can be made, it can be time-consuming having to replace doors.
